Fossils, Hiking, and Geocaching
My son and I (along with two of his friends) just wrapped up a quick three-day trip that included a fossil dig in the Pembina Gorge, camping in Lake Metigoshe State Park, and quick visits to Grahams Island State Park and Turtle River State Park. The fossil dig (through NDGS Paleontology) was a hit with all three kids! It was a beautiful day that … Continue reading Fossils, Hiking, and Geocaching
2020 Preliminary Budget Set
On Monday, August 5th the West Fargo City Commission approved the preliminary budget for 2020. What this means, is that the overall mill levy from the city can’t be further increased beyond what was set in this meeting. Our first trip of the year was over the first few days of July. We visited Little Missouri State Park, Sully Creek State Park, and Theodore … Continue reading First Camping Trip of 2019
Investing in Education

So, it should come as no surprise that free college education is being thrown around as an idea to ‘fix’ our broken college system. Let me be … Continue reading Investing in Education
2019 Bourbon Battle – Round 3
This is a duel of the fancy bottle bourbons! I really should have included some Willett based on that description but for Father’s Day 2019 I opted for Blanton’s and Old Fitzgerald. Two great options to say the least! Blanton’s So, I’m a big fan of the Buffalo Trace Distillery! Blanton’s was first launched in the mid 80’s by master distiller Elmer T. Lee (that … Continue reading 2019 Bourbon Battle – Round 3
